Workmates have the opportunity to develop/work within small community social enterprises to provide goods and services to the local community.

We love seeing so many people enjoying The Play Patch at Six Acre Nurseries in this lovely sunshine 🌿

If you’re visiting, please support The Coffee Hatch rather than bringing your own food, as your support helps us keep this space open for everyone.

We also welcome a suggested donation of £1 per child per visit. This goes towards maintenance, animal care, feed, and keeping facilities like the toilets clean.

Please remember this is a natural play space, so children must be supervised at all times. We’ve also noticed an increase in litter and damage—please help us look after the area and respect the hard work that goes into maintaining it.

This space is lovingly cared for by adults with learning disabilities, who take great pride in what they do. Let’s work together to keep it special 💚

From 28th March to 12th April, come along to The Play Patch and Conservation Area at Six Acre Nurseries for our annual Easter Egg Hunt!

Can you spot all the eggs hidden around The Play Patch? There’s also a secret word to decode—and everyone who takes part will receive a treat!

Entry is just £2.50, making it a fun and affordable way to entertain the children over the Easter holidays. While you’re here, enjoy our selection of adorable animals, browse the garden centre, and treat yourself to hot and cold food from The Coffee Hatch.

🐣 Egg-citing Announcement! 🌸

We’re delighted to be hosting two Stay & Play sessions over the Easter holidays at The Play Patch and Conservation Area at Six Acre Nurseries, Costock.

These sessions have been carefully developed and will be run by our wonderful team and workmates. Children will enjoy:
🌿 Nature crafts
🌱 Planting their own seed
🐴 Grooming our friendly donkeys
🥚 Taking part in our Easter Egg Hunt
🍱 A children’s lunch box provided by The Coffee Hatch

Suitable for children aged 4–10 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

⭐️ Job Vacancy ⭐️
WHM Work Connections are currently looking for part time support worker to join our team based at Six Acre Nurseries. The role is for 3 days a week Wednesday to Friday 9am - 4pm ⏰ on a 1 year fixed term contract.
Applicants must have experience or interest in horticulture as the role will focus on supporting the development of skills within our contract gardening enterprise.
Previous experience within a supporting role essential.
Successful candidates will need the ability and passion to encourage and support adults with learning disabilities to actively participate in a working environment, be able to work in a person centred way, record workmates progress and complete 'key worker' duties.
