As you all know, we recently made the move to Melton Mowbray which was due to our landlady selling the house we were renting in Syston. Since moving to the area, we have come across at least 7 other baking businesses including 3 with honesty cabinets.

Unfortunately it just isn’t profitable for us to carry on as we are with this amount of competition in our area, we aren’t getting any orders and attending local events leaves us out of pocket which we can’t afford to keep doing.

For now, Branston Bakes is going to be closing. This decision was a really difficult one to make but it’s the right one I hope. We may reopen in the future when the time is right, but for now I want to say a massive thank you to all of you for supporting my little dream🫶🏻

Unfortunately we will not be attending this event tomorrow due to myself being bitten by a dog on my upper leg so I’m struggling to stand and bake🥲

I’ve tried and managed to get a few items done but couldn’t do any more so those few bits will be on the page tomorrow for sale. We’re really sad that we can’t attend this great event😓

It’s always me with the weirdest injuries😅Can’t just be a simple sprained ankle, has to be something obscure like a dog bite on the bum😂

We will be at the Prestwold Hall Barns Afternoon Garden Party and Craft Fair on Sunday 27th July from 2pm to 8pm!

We will have a large variety of treats from savoury cheese straws to mini cornflake tarts! Please come on down and support me and all the other small businesses that will be there☺️

Some big changes are coming…

First of all, thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding with us being closed for the last week or two.

We have officially moved and we are now based in…(drumroll please)…Melton Mowbray📍🥳
With this move comes some changes which we hope will keep the business alive and bring something new and exciting!

We will now be CLOSED to custom orders, however we will now be offering a weekly menu with Saturday pick up/delivery slots! However, the menu item will be decided by YOU. This means that we will post a vote on Mondays for you guys to decide what item you want to see that week, 24 hours later the item that has had the most votes will be announced and be available to pre order and collect/have delivered at the weekend. These are also available via postage so wherever you are in the UK, you can get your fix!

I’m hoping that this will make things smoother for me to manage the hustle and bustle of a baking business alongside my other job whilst keeping you all happy with bellies full of delicious baked goods😋🍪
