Deep emerald, burgundy and burnt orange 🍂

This four-tier showstopper was made for autumn: textured green tiers, hand-crafted sugar dahlias, cosmos and anthuriums, finished with a touch of gold. Set on a rustic barrel at The Hidden Hive, it was the moody, romantic centrepiece I’d dreamed of.

One of my all-time favourite cakes. 🤍

Two clean tiers, one wild branch of blossom — sometimes the simplest palette makes the most impact. There’s something about the contrast between the sharp, quiet lines of the cake and the movement of the sugar flowers that I keep coming back to.

The edible lace and pearls came later, layered in to add texture and movement without losing that simplicity. Each flower is hand-made from sugar and hand-painted to look lifelike — down to the last petal — finished with sugar lace appliqué and cascading pearl strands that catch the light exactly the way the bride’s own gown would.
