When creating recipes, my foundation was always indulgence without compromise. For me, there wasn’t a gluten-free (let alone, also dairy-free or vegan) baked good I could enjoy without feeling heavy, dull, or just off. I stopped them altogether, unwilling to trade fleeting pleasure for days of digestive distress.
And then came our tarts and cakes 💫🍒
This chocolate cake, in particular, has become a favorite for many of our regulars, who often share it’s “the best they’ve ever had” and praise at how it’s “light, kind, and nourishing.”
It has 3 layers of fudgy chocolate cake, vegan and gluten-free, with naturally sweet, slightly tart raspberry compote and a delicate tang of hibiscus curd, finished with a glossy, unsweetened dark chocolate ganache. Sugar kept as minimal as possible, as we always do!
Feeling joy is the greatest nourishment and experiencing it without compromise is what we set out to create!
