Gingerbread World is five years old. Happy Birthday to us!!!

I can't believe it has been five years since we pivoted from Brighton Cakes and began specialising in gingerbread. Covid tanked the cake business but out of the ashes came gingerbread, something which up until that point had been a very small part of the business. A couple of big commissions followed and since then things have just gotten better and better with a a bumper year last year.

Who's gonna be hitting the sea later on today. With 30C heat forecast I know I won't be in doors that much. I do have some baking to do but hopefully it will be done early on so I'm not sweltering in the kitchen on sucha beautiful day. I've been a little quiet on here lately but that's because I have been beavering on stuff for the coming season. I also got rather carried away with the sun out at the weekend and turned one of our summer-themed gingerbread houses into a little video! The sun might not be shining quite so brightly today but this certainly makes me smile.
