🎂✨ This Stranger Things cake was definitely one of the most fun cakes I’ve made recently!

Topped with loads of colourful sweets and packed with all the Upside Down vibes✨

☀️ Just a little warm weather cake chat 🎂💕
I’ve seen a lot of cakes like this over my Facebook in the last few days.

With the sunshine finally making an appearance, I thought I’d pop a few little tips here to help keep your buttercream cakes looking their best once they’ve been collected ✨

Buttercream and heat are definitely not best friends 😂 so if you’re picking up a cake over the next few weeks please:

🧁 Keep the cake as cool as possible on the journey home
🚗 Air con on if you have it, and keep the box flat in the footwell or boot
☀️ Please don’t leave cakes sitting in warm cars (even “just for 5 minutes” 😅)
🏡 Pop the cake into the fridge once home
🎉 Take it out around 1-2 hours before serving so it comes back to room temp nicely
💧 If your cake has been in the fridge then comes out into the heat, you may notice a few condensation spots on the buttercream — this is completely normal and nothing to worry about ✨
🌸 Try to keep it away from direct sunlight or super warm rooms when displaying

I always send your cakes out set from the fridge and as sturdy as I possibly can, but this heat can soften buttercream sooo quickly so please be cautious💛
