Philp's Bakery was established in 1958 by Samuel Philp and is now a flourishing business producing one of Cornwall's finest Cornish pasties and is still run by the same family today

The last days of summer are slipping by, and the view across the bay towards St Ives from our East Quay bakery in Hayle is looking more & more Autumnal…

It’s been a fantastic summer here in Cornwall, and we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to it yet!

If you’re making the most of the Bank Holiday Monday, all of our shops are OPEN today, ready with hot pasties, sausage rolls, cream teas, cakes, and all your usual Philps favourites 👍🏼

We know lots of you are wondering when we’re opening…and whether we’ll be hiring.

Work on our new Marazion bakery & shop is progressing really well.
We’re working alongside a brilliant team of people to bring it all together, and everyone involved is pushing for the high-quality finish we want for the space.

As with any big renovation, getting those details right takes time, but things are moving along nicely and we’re getting closer!

We’ll have more to share with you very soon, including an update on when we’re hoping to open our doors.

And for everyone asking about jobs…thank you!

We’re always looking at ways we can reinvest back into the business, and this week that’s meant some rather shiny new kit arriving at our East Quay Bakery in Hayle

Our brand new ovens from MONO Equipment are officially installed and ready to be put through their paces

Keeping our equipment up to date is a big investment, but an important one, especially when it comes to our ovens…this pair won’t have a day off now til Christmas Day!

The installation has caused a little disruption behind the scenes over the last few days, so a HUGE thank you to our team for working around it all, and to our customers for bearing with us while the work was carried out.

Now…time to get these ovens baking!

📢 MARAZION

One of our ovens at our Marazion bakery has had a bit of a Monday morning moment, and we’ve experienced some technical issues.

We’re still open, but if you’re after a larger quantity of pasties or baked goods, we’d recommend popping along to one of our other bakeries in the area, where there’ll be a much bigger selection available.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

We’re working on getting things back to normal as quickly as possible!

Not long now Marazion!

If you know Marazion, you’ll know our little bakery, and you may also have noticed that something rather bigger has been taking shape just across the road.

When the opportunity came up to buy this building, we couldn’t resist the chance to give our Marazion bakery a new home.

We’re baking fresh throughout the day, but when someone pops in and takes a big batch in one fell swoop, it can clear the trays pretty quickly.

Pre-orders also give our bakers a heads-up so they can keep the fresh bakes coming and the shop well stocked for everyone 🙌🏼
