💚 What a day!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Community Pop-Up at Elm Park on Saturday and helped make it such a special day. 🌿

It was fantastic to see so many people stopping by, meeting neighbours, sharing ideas and getting involved. From crafting and conversations to community ideas, allotment plans and, of course, plenty of scones! 🧁☕️

A special thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, helped us on the day, shared the event and supported us behind the scenes — we couldn’t have done it without you.

Most importantly, thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas with us. What you told us will help shape conversations about the community centre, allotments and the wider Matford community.

This is just the beginning — we’re looking forward to continuing the conversation and working together to make Matford an even better place to live. 💚

📢 A little update from The Handcrafted Scone Co 📢

We’ve been a bit quiet lately and wanted to let you know why — our wonderful baker Jon has had a bit of a health setback and is taking things steady while he recovers. 🤍

Please don’t worry at all: we are honouring every single order already placed — all of those will be made and delivered as planned, nothing is forgotten!

For now though, you won’t see us out and about at markets and fairs with our gazebo for a little while — it’s just all the heavy lifting, setting up and travelling that we’re pausing for now.

We are still very much here for your orders! ✨ We can happily bake and prepare everything from home — so if you’d like cream teas, scones, or platters for any occasion, just send us a message or give us a call, we’d love to help.

Thank you so much for all your kindness and support — it means the world to us. We’ll be back out with the stall as soon as we can! 💛

While we’ve been away, we’ve been busy planning new ideas — and I’ve been getting stuck into my artwork, getting ready for a fair this coming Saturday! 🎨
