🧁 Important Announcement!

It’s with a very heavy heart that I have to announce that Grace’s Bakes is closing down! 😔
This has been an extremely tough decision for me to make and one that I have not taken lightly but with the continued rising cost of living & working a full time job, it is just not feasible for me to remain open without putting my costs up by a significant amount, which I really don’t want to do.

I can’t thank everyone enough for all their orders over the last 2 years. What started as a hobby for me, quickly turned into a business and I have had the opportunity to make so many cakes and bakes for so many birthdays, weddings, baby showers, gender reveals and everything in between, so thankyou.

Your continued likes, shares, comments and recommendations have been more then I could have ever wished for and I am really sad that I have had to make this decision but this is the right time for me to do so.

That being said, all orders in the diary already will of course continue to be honoured but I will not be taking any more future orders.

I won’t be closing down the page so keep your eye out as I may do some special occasion themed boxes from time to time!

If anyone questions your prices, remember your worth & never doubt yourself ☺️

I’m sure I am not alone when it comes to worrying about this when trying to run a baking business and sometimes I need reminding myself 💜

-Cost of ingredients
-Cake board
-Cake box
-Cutters
-Scrapers
-Food colouring
-Cake cases
-Use of electricity & water
-Baking paper to line the tins
-Decorations
-Most importantly MY TIME, time messaging customers, time ordering the ingredients, time lining the tins, time making the cake, time to cool the cake, time to make the icing, time to crumb coat, time to set, time to decorate, time to do admin & finances & time to clean up

Baking a cake isn’t as easy as whacking some flour, eggs & sugar in the oven, whenever I do doubt myself I look back at the first cake I made😂 & am proud of how far I’ve come 💜

Not going to lie knowing the s*x of one of your best friends baby & keeping it a secret is torture 😂but what an honour being given the privilege of knowing the most exciting news & being asked to make the gender reveal cake! Over the moon for you both, glad I can speak to you again now 😂& can not wait to meet little man when he arrives!
