We finally had some rain this week and lots of lovely things are starting to flower. The sweet rocket has been fantastic this year but the larkspur is rubbish. Some wins, some losses, as usual.
Subscription flowers are in full flow. It’s lovely how the ingredients change every month. Last month’s tulips have finished and been replaced with frothy orlaya, corncockle and geum.

Not so good, we’re having nightly visits from a badger who is digging up lots of plants and making a heck of a mess. I know he’s looking for worms but I wish he’d have a night off.

Next week I’ll be having a change-up in the polytunnel. Out will come the ranunculus and I’ll get the zinnia, aster and phlox in. 🤞for more rain.

First flower arranger’s bucket of 2026 collected by a local customer for her daughter’s wedding in Wiltshire. Hope they’ve got the air con on in the car. It’s so hot here ☀️

Excited to be part of this new venture. We’re a team of growers from Kent and East Sussex ready to supply the hub with flowers. It’s a new way for florists to buy locally grown flowers🌱

We’ve had some warm sun here in Kent and it’s brought our fruit trees into blossom. The big flowering cherry is a picture and it’s lovely to include a little bit in bouquets. Apples are the only ones still to flower and will do their thing in a couple of weeks time 🌸

Lots of lovely things either flowering or just about to. Anemones and forsythia now in bloom and my few tulips and ranunculus showing colour.

I have done my back in so very limited with what I can do…potting on, pricking out and seed sowing are pretty up to date though 😉.

Do get in touch if you’re wanting to order diy buckets or subscription flowers, these will be available in the next week or so.
