A great way to start the week. Residents enjoyed a good old sing song with Janet (Cabaret With Care). The room was full of fu, laughter, smiles, dancing and pom poms.

Not too hot, not too cold-just enjoying being in the garden and making the most of the sunshine. It's great for wellbeing, helping lift your mood, reduce stress, and enjoy a bit of fresh air and nature.

Music and exercise support wellbeing in many ways. They lift mood, encourage social interaction, support physical health and stimulate memory and cognitive function.

Residents enjoyed gentle exercise, pom pom shaking, great music, and plenty of fun together.

We’re looking forward to Care Home Open Week and the football-themed celebrations taking place at our home.

It will be a lovely chance to bring residents, families, team members and the local community together for activities, smiles and plenty of fun.

Exciting week ahead! Care Home Open Week is almost here. A big thank you to Championing Social Care for organising this wonderful event every year.

This year’s football theme makes it even more special, creating the perfect opportunity for residents, families, team members and local communities to come together, enjoy the activities and celebrate.

Across our care homes we have a fun-filled week planned to engage our residents, create joyful moments and bring plenty of smiles.

We finally managed to get our runner beans planted.

When EH was asked what she would like for her "wish of the day" she said she would love to go to France and sit outside a cafe with a glass of wine and cheese and biscuits.

With today being National Cheese Day it seemed the ideal day to surprise her with a cheese and wine supper. She was delighted with her surprise and didn't even mind we weren't in France.

On Monday residents enjoyed listening to our weekly singer Andy Mace, followed by some balloon tennis in the afternoon.

This week residents enjoyed listening to singer Andy Mace, having a manicure and enjoying the warmer weather with ice creams and hook a duck. During reminiscence sessions we have chatted about seaside holidays, donkey rides and punch and Judy. Several ladies remembered having a knitted swimming costume which they said was so heavy when it was wet.
