An absolutely unbelievable day at Axminster eat Festivals today. You all showed up in FORCE and sold us out 2.5hrs before finish, it was near on the most bakes we’ve ever taken to an event and we managed to only lose a handful to melting 🎉

Although our bakes arrived at the festival in the regular standard we are so proud of, we know a lot of you took boxes of bakes home far gooier, softer and less pretty than we were happy with. We know they’ll still taste amazing for you and we’re so grateful the battles we faced with the heat didn’t put you off buying from us 🫶🏼

We really hope to see you all again on a cooler day so you can get our bakes at their best.

Find us tomorrow, bank holiday Monday, at Axminster Gate to Plate eat Festivals! 🎉

We are coming with one of our biggest number of bakes EVER. We’re as prepared as we possibly can be with an ungodly amount of ice packs and cool boxes, but we know it’s going to be a battle keeping hundreds upon hundreds of bakes cool in the 30 degree heat 🥵

If you’re at a loose end, come along and support the 50+ small business that are part of an amazing local event.

Wherever you are this weekend, if you walk buy anyone selling anything chocolate based, PLEASE BUY SOMETHING FROM THEM 😂 the work that goes into hand making these bakes is no joke and neither is watching them melt away 🙃

You can get yourself a Bake Box at 3 locations this weekend!

SATURDAY:
📍 Chard Market, outside the Guild Hall. Due to weather we’ll be fully open from 8.30 instead of 9.

📍 Crewkerne Farmers Market, outside Costa, from 9-1.

*We won’t be at Axminster carboot this weekend due to the expected temperatures in the afternoon*

MONDAY:
📍 Axminster eat Festival from 10-4. (Not to be missed, we are bringing an insane amount of bakes)

Just a little plea to everyone, wherever you’re going this bank holiday, if you planning to buy from us, or any other bakers, please try and come early. We’re all going to STRUGGLE with chocolate in these temperatures and we know how hard every single baker works to bring you the best every time, it’s so heartbreaking for us all to watch it melt away. So go support us all, go early and treat yourselves!
