I’ve been putting off posting this one for SO long… 🙈😂

This was a number cookie I made for a lovely customer who messaged me asking for something similar to a number cookie I’d made previously. Of course, no problem at all — I absolutely loved creating it! 💕🍪

HOWEVER… after
they came to collect, it became apparent that the cookie was actually for her son… and she had meant to ask for navy blue colours rather than the pinks from the inspiration picture! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

You can imagine my face! 😳🙈 I was absolutely mortified and immediately offered to take it back and redecorate it, but thankfully they found the whole thing hilarious, her son took it completely in his stride, and they were more than happy to keep it as it was. 🥰

And honestly, I’m so grateful to them for being so lovely about my mistake! ❤️

But it has definitely taught me a lesson — never assume the colours from the inspiration picture are the colours they want… ALWAYS confirm! 😂🙈

It’s taken me a while to post this because I was so embarrassed, but mistakes happen, and sometimes they make a funny story to look back on! 😂

So, fellow bakers… has anyone else ever made a mistake like this?! Please tell me I’m not alone! 🙈😂
