Important Update - we’ve decided to close the Bakery in Parkdale. WE ARE STILL OPEN and are taking custom donut orders, catering and coffee cart bookings and general bakery inquires every day - with delivery and pickup options available 7 days a week (unless sold out/fully booked).
We want to be clear - while this wasn’t what we planned on, and yes it was a tough decision, we’re ultimately very happy having said it out loud now and are excited that we can focus on what we love about Letterbox
Over the past several months we’ve taken the time to think about the business and what really stood out was that what we love doing is events!
From custom donut walls, to donut decorating and the introduction of our Mobile Coffee Cart - we truly love events!
We’re so thankful and inspired to keeping creating fun, memorable experiences for colleagues, friends and family - no matter the occasion 🎉
And ultimately (we’re going to humble brag and say that) the past 6 years wouldn’t have been as memorable without our custom donuts! Plus we’ve always had a soft spot for them, being how we got our start back in 2020 out of our condo!
From birthday parties, to bachelorette weekends and corporate events - custom donuts are always so fun and the team absolutely loves all the designs and special themes they get to work on.
So without question we knew we wanted to keep online orders open.
With delivery across the GTA and pickup available 7 days a week 🎁🚚
On top of that we are actively growing our wholesale business as well as working on a few really fun projects - more on those soon!
With all that said, we stepped back and asked ourselves - what parts of Letterbox bring us the most joy? What parts of the business are growing? What can we be successful at? And what parts just aren’t clicking at the moment?
For a number of reasons the bakery has been the most challenging aspect of the business for us. It’s been hard to balance with custom orders, events/catering and wholesale.
Ultimately we can’t do everything we love (especially as a small business) - so until we have the time, resources and a new approach, we’re going to be closing the Bakery - starting this weeke
