After five wonderful years at Cranewood, our baker Lesley is heading west to BC to be closer to family, and while we’re so happy for her, we’re going to miss her more than words can say!
Lesley is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to breads and pastries, and she’s shared so much of that knowledge with us over the years. From our delicious sourdough bread and cinnamon rolls to danishes, croissants, stollen, and so much more, she has filled our cafe with some truly special creations. She leaves some very big shoes to fill!
But it’s not just her baking we’ll miss. It’s her huge smiles, her unmistakable laugh, her endless positive energy, and the way she talked to her breads and baked goods like they were her own children. Lesley put love into everything she made, and you could taste it. 🥐❤️
As we say goodbye to Lesley, our baking schedule will be shifting a little as our new team of bakers steps in and takes on the delicious challenge of keeping up with a busy cafe. We ask for a little patience and understanding as everyone finds their rhythm during this transition.
Lesley, thank you for five amazing years of early mornings, beautiful baking, shared knowledge, and so much laughter. You’ve left your mark on Cranewood, and we’re incredibly grateful for the time we’ve had with you.
