A few firsts for me to help celebrate this silly goose themed first birthday. This was my very first attempt at a vintage cake, I could definitely use some practice with this technique, but I really enjoyed this style of decorating. I also tried making and decorating shortbread cookies for the first time and I definitely learned some lessons about royal icing to help for next time. I also made this beautiful sugar free smash cake, and I'm very happy with how it turned out! Never be afraid to try new things.

It's been a while since I posted any of my cakes, with the end of my mat leave and starting back at work, it's been a very busy time. This is a cake I made back in August for the 1 year anniversary of Drumlin Plasma.
