One small casualty of me being a little too social yesterday: no focaccia today. 😬 I got busy visiting with friends, took my eye off the production schedule, and completely missed my focaccia-shaping window. Apparently chatting and bakery timing are not always compatible. 😂 Focaccia will return!

Basically, if your Friday needed butter, berries, chocolate or cream… we’ve handled it.

🚚 Today’s bakery drop has officially landed!

Mission Health & Wellness and Maverick Foods have been restocked, and Canco is stocked up with fresh sourdough cinnamon buns because cinnamon is always a good life decision.

Today’s lineup:
🥐 Snickerdoodle Cruffins – flaky laminated layers rolled in cinnamon sugar and filled with silky diplomat cream.
🫐 Berry Cheesecake Morning Rolls – topped with a berry cheesecake whip and hiding one unexpected little flavour note. I won’t spoil the surprise… see if you can guess it!
🍪 Sourdough chocolate chip cookies.
🥖 Herb & garlic focaccia.

This is my last bakery drop in Prince Rupert for a week as I’m taking a little break to explore beautiful Haida Gwaii with my family. Time to swap flour-covered countertops for sandy beaches and salty air. I’ll be back next week, rested, recharged, and probably already thinking about what’s coming out of the oven next.

My sourdough starter has informed me that it’s completely burned out and needs a small getaway. Apparently “being fed twice a day” doesn’t count as a wellness program.

This Wednesday and Friday you will find Sourdough YPR on the shelves as usual, but the Bakery will be taking a short break next week!

🥖 There will be no bread or baking available in either Prince Rupert or Terrace from August 1–9.

Fresh baking returns:

📍 Terrace: Wednesday, August 12

If your freezer has a suspicious amount of empty space, this is your sign to fix that before Friday. Future-you will be very grateful when the sourdough cravings kick in.

The berry danishes are stuffed with cream cheese and fresh berries, the cookies are packed with chocolate, and the cinnamon rolls continue their long-standing tradition of making people forget whatever diet they started on Monday.
