When delivering a cake, where you place it in the car is very important to avoid damage.
The best place to put a cake is in the boot (trunk) of the car or on the floor, where the surface is flat and level. Avoid placing the cake on car seats because seats are slightly tilted, which can cause the cake to slide or tilt during movement.
If your car boot is not available, the passenger floor space is the next safest option, as it provides better stability than seats.
To keep the cake secure:
• Place it on a non-slip mat or towel to prevent movement
• Ensure the cake box is properly closed and stable
• Fill empty spaces around it with soft items (like towels) so it doesn’t shift
Also:
• Keep the car cool (use AC) to prevent melting
• Avoid direct sunlight on the cake
• Drive carefully, no sudden braking, sharp turns, or bumps.
Important Tip:
Never carry the cake on your lap or place it on a seat without support, it’s one of the fastest ways to ruin a perfectly decorated cake
