Big Afternoon Tea for 52 guests kept us busy on Monday. Thanks to volunteers Lola, Joan, Lori, and helpers Gus, Emmy, Angela, Pam, Renee, and Ella. Looking forward to Petit Teas on the verandah at Mackie this Summer. Pics of plates, the getting ready and a few take home tea boxes.

It was a true honour to make Afternoon Tea fare for the special guest of honour today at her 100th birthday. 🎂 The littlest guest was 1 yr old so just 99 yrs of life in between. Our hearts and tummies were full.

These White Chocolate and Blueberry Scones went over well at a pop up bakery for World Art Day at Mackie Lake House. It was a little chilly but we did indeed celebrate the making of art with our guests. Very inspiring.

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea tickets are now available through Ticket seller. We have 2 seatings, 2:00 pm Sat May 9 and Sun May 10.

My Dad once told me my Baking Powder Biscuits rivaled my Moms. That is very high praise, he really knew how to give a compliment to a budding baker. We had an early Easter dinner on Sunday so I took these. The recipe is there and it’s super easy. I could be convinced to bake some too if anyone is in desperate need of flaky awesomeness.
