Apparently there’s no annual leave when you’re the family pastry chef. 10,000 miles from the Chic de Partie kitchen and still somehow on cake duty. BUT for Grandad’s 80th, I think we can make an exception. 🤍

DITA VON CHIC 🖤
The cake. The muse. The fantasy.

A little something I whipped up in less than 24 hours for the Queen of Burlesque, Dita Von Teese

A sculptural single-bust cake inspired by Dita’s iconic burlesque costumes. Dark chocolate, salted caramel & cocoa nib, bejewelled in silver pearls and silver leaf. Finished with dramatic black feathers and a shimmering crystal tassel pastie.

I wanted to create something that felt glamorous, decadent and unmistakably Dita. Because when you’re making a cake for Dita Von Teese… subtle was never really an option. 🖤

The tassel may not be edible, but everything underneath it certainly is. 😉

A huge thank you to Dita and her wonderful team for having me and for the tickets to experience the show. An unforgettable evening and the perfect ending to this very glamorous little cake moment. ✨

A couture number cake created to celebrate in style at the beautiful Privé Melbourne, just across the road from our boutique.

Deep burgundy tones, fresh berries, silver leaf and satin bows. Every milestone deserves something unforgettable!

Ohana means family 💙🌺

I think that’s what I love most about cake. It has a way of bringing memories back to life.

Stitch has always been one of those characters. Mischievous, loyal and impossible not to love.

Sculpted entirely from cake and finished with hundreds of individually piped buttercream stars, bringing this little blue troublemaker to life was a joy from beginning to end.
