Whether you’re interested in music, dance, theatre, film, performance art, visual art,

makeup, baking, knitting, or carving fruit, we’re here to make sure you get to do it all, because art lends so much real value to living. Our department manages the Creative Arts collectives, events, programs and grants, and we have a whole bunch planned this year! Our key goals are to encourage and facilitate diverse, experimental, accessible, and sustainable artmaking and we will be running many collaborative events and workshops to that end. We want to hear your feedback and your voice. We are your student representatives, but we can only truly represent you if we listen to you. The office this year consists consists of your Creative Arts Officers – Marcie Di Bartolomeo and Prerna Aggarwal, and your Creative Arts committee including Leslie Ho, Leah Bourne, Kavi Ramdass, Jemilla Lister, and Haley Nguyen. There’s lots of information on this website and on our page (chuck us a like while you’re there!)

We are looking to support any artistic project or opportunity for artistic development, including but not limited to: performing arts, creative writing, visual arts, music, film and media.

Whether you're directing three musicals, curating an exhibition on dogs, or toying with the idea of wrapping wire around a stick and chucking it in a pool under the light of the moon - you can apply for funding of up to $500 through our grants program!

Apply through the UMSU Creative Arts website, applications close Tuesday 16th of April, T&Cs apply.

We're seeking a Producer for Tastings 2026 – a bite size program of theatre and live performance bought to you by UMSU’s Creative Arts and Union House Theatre. This is a part time, renumerated opportunity over May - August 2026.
