Farm stand Update:

The weather has thankfully dried out! This weekend, the stand will NOT be open. Some of my stands and cabinetry didn’t take to the moisture well, so next move will be to build a platform floor, and seal the roof more. We are expected to get a little rain this weekend sometime, however not enough to hinder production. That will be my project for the next few days.
Fear not however! The stand will be ready and up and running for the next Dusty Roads Farmstand Crawl!

Free bread for a year! Thank you so much for showing your continued support in our efforts to fundraise! Our goal is to sell 200 raffle tickets!

Tickets are $10 each, with no cap on amounts purchased.

Raffle Disclaimer: This raffle is in support of Doris & Eris Bakery & Farmstand and our partnering non-profits that we donate to. The prize of fresh bread for a year is equivalent to one regular sized loaf of bread, up to a $12 value, per week OR 52 loaves of bread over one year.
The winner can collect the bread at any time, up to 5 loaves at a time, until December 31st, 2027.
The raffle prize does not apply to specialty orders or other items, unless otherwise approved by Doris & Eris Bakery.

The raffle will run through October and November, and be drawn by December 1st, 2026. Tickets can be purchased at anytime during the contest.

I have some naughty chickens that don’t like to stay in their fenced area.
Unfortunately when they fly over the fencing, they get got by our resident fox. After losing 3 recently due to them hopping over the fencing and not cooping back up in the rain, I’ve decided it’s time to clip their wings.
Clipping their flight feathers is a painless process and causes zero pain or discomfort to the hen. I don’t like to alter my animals, and flight feathers are an important part of anatomy that allows the chicken to flee a predator, however in this situation, by clipping them I’m actually saving them from the predator.

Good morning everyone! A couple of updates:

1. The Stand is not open today. The weather took its toll on everything, and until I can get out there and give the tables a good wipe down and dry everything by hand, I’m unable to put items back out. Moisture and mold are not friendly.

2. I don’t have any baked items today. Fresh bread and rain don’t mix. Even if the rain stays away, the stand is too damp to safely hold perishables without the threat of mold.

3. We are not at any markets today. Unfortunately we have another band of rain coming our way, and our tent set up is not weather safe enough to set up. It’s with a heavy heart that we bow out of any markets until we know this weather is done.

4. I’ll be on the island Monday and Tuesday. If you are looking for fresh bread, bagels, or English muffins, please send me a message and we can coordinate a door drop off. I will be at Vivace on S. Fletcher Monday until around 3pm, and then delivering fresh sliced bread Tuesday morning to Vivace of Amelia Island, their own exclusive selection of sourdough!

Good morning Sourdough friends! We have had so much rain out here that unfortunately I am closing  the farm stand for the next couple of days. After some time to dry out and as we make some adjustments, it will reopen again tentatively on Friday, but guaranteed by 10 AM Saturday. Thank you so much for your patience!
