You all are amazing! Thank you so much for coming out to the Farmers Market to support us vendors and take in a wonderful Fall day in the community.

We vendors have noticed a significant drop in attendance since the beginning of the school year (not just this holiday weekend), which is surprising and confusing. Of course there are competing draws on folks' time and interests, and yet this year feels different from past years.

If you don't frequent the market like you used to, I'd love to hear what keeps you away. As a Wi******er Farmers Market Community Hub board member, I'm part of the group that works behind the scenes to bring this community feature to the town, and we are always seeking ways to improve the experience for all. Feel free to pm me if you feel more comfortable.

Farmers Market round-up....

Well we missed you at the market today, it was a beautiful day and I'm so appreciative of those of you who came out.

A hefty batch of unsold scones went to the high school volunteers who work so hard every week to erect and dismantle booths, work at the market managers tent, answer questions, liaise with vendors, clean up .... they really are doing such great community service.

As vendors, we always appreciate the musicians who entertain the community every weekend. Today, musician Randall Kromm stepped in to play an extended set after the folk due to play after him were unable to be here. Thank you.

If it was your otherwise very cute dog who mistook one of my tent poles for a tree/fire hydrant, you owe me one, and consider actually stopping by for a scone sample next time rather than casually walking by!

As of next week there are only 4 markets left, the last one being on Halloween. Start looking out for some monstrous and ghoulish cookies, and some new Fall scones flavors. If you have a favorite that you'd like to see revived, let me know too!

Next week is International Day at the market, which usually means some really great music and dancing entertainment. I'll be bringing Ploughman's Lunch scones back, in celebration of the Great British pub lunch, and I'm thinking we may need something with custard.

Of course next week is a holiday weekend, I get it, but I hope to see you at the market anyway. Have a great week, everyone!
