This weekend was madness. And we thank God.
I especially thank God for regular customers like Vivian who are huge supporters of our business. Almost every week, she reaches out for something. And I try my best to make it work haha.

But this weekend, we did a HUGE order for her son’s birthday party. Stress levels were high in the kitchen because Roody and I were running on 3 hours of sleep. But we took our time cutting out the clouds and green leaf fondant pieces, applying the gold rings, and placing the characters nicely. We were so proud of ourselves, it was almost as if the exhaustion went out the window.

Every weekend that we feel like this, I try to just remember to give God thanks. And thank YOU for trusting us to make these cakes to celebrate your milestones! 🫶🏾

Last weekend, we celebrated National Peaches & Cream Day 🍑 and Cookie Dough Day 🍪 in a big way! 😋

We sold out of all of our official menu at the on Friday, so we went back to the kitchen that night to make more goodies for everyone to pick up on Saturday.

I love celebrating these random days because I get to express my creativity as a baker and as a foodie. I hope you all enjoyed the treats as much as I did!

A lot of vegan businesses are closing down, and I see a lot of posts from consumers who are confused about what is going on.

Running a business is expensive. Running a VEGAN business is expensive-er. Because we encounter customers like the one I encountered today who make us feel like we’re out here scamming. My organic strawberry vegan cake is $45 for a reason. I didn’t make up the price. Please don’t make me have to whip out my excel spreadsheet to break down the cost of goods. Please.

If anyone would like to purchase the cake, please let me know. It is listed as a 4” MINI cake (the mini is in caps on the website, too) because it’s a MINI cake. It’s made with organic strawberries that I bought at Whole Foods and chopped up and blended, all my myself.

It’s only $45 and I didn’t get paid to make it. I made it for free. That’s what happens when you have rent due at the beginning of every month. You work for free to ensure that the bills are paid. And this is why vegan businesses are closing at a rapid rate. Because who wants to keep working for free when customers challenge us and turn on us when it’s their birthday and we don’t want to add the strawberries to the top of their discounted mini cake?

So who wants the cake?? 🥲

This was such a fun little experiment. I ended up making and selling 7 tiramisu cups in total. I really appreciate how enthusiastic you all were about trying them! I will definitely be adding an entire tiramisu page to the website!!
