Lots of construction going on at the bakery the past week. We are finally in the home stretch of everything. Shortly, we’ll have AGG come in and inspect our kitchen to be operational and FULLY LICENSED!

With list of concerns and questions..

Many have asked, will your bakery be public? The answer is no. As it saddens our hearts to not operate on a public platform we cannot afford to be commercial just, YET! The next question is, how can I buy product for you then?

When we do open, I’ll have a self-serve “Farm-stand”. The farm-stand will sit on the property of a family member who was gracious enough to allow us to place the bakery on. The public will not be able to access the bakery however, I will be there majority of the time and if needed I will come down and help/answer any questions a customer may have. If I am not, I reside 5- minutes down the road and will accommodate as well as I can.

Payment-cash, ApplePay and Venmo.

Pre-order is also available. If a customer would like to pre-order I will be able to deliver (with a small fee) or I can package your order and place sealed label at the farm-stand if customer request. Delivery is always an option for any customer not just pre-order.

B&B will also be in local and state markets. We will post those locations and times.

We’re excited to serve our local West End, Seven Lakes community along with country wide support! Let’s not forget surrounding counties too.

God said “not yet,” and who are we to argue? 😅

Trust me, we also thought Bit and Bridle Bakery LLC would be up and running by now but we just trust HIS timing ✝️🥖

Behind the scenes, we’ve been mixing patience, persistence, and just a pinch of frustration while working day by day to get everything just right. My amazing husband has been putting in WORK to help get us operational. Through prayer and faith of a mustard seed, we’ve passed ALL of our inspections and only 3 more to go!

To everyone who’s checked in, tried to order, and shown love before we’ve even opened …y’all are the real icing on the cake. It means more than you know!

We’re just as excited (and maybe a little impatient 👀) as you are. But when those doors finally open… just know it’s gonna be worth the wait.

We popped into The Soapy Goat & gifts this morning for their soft launch and let’s just say… we’re officially obsessed 🐐✨

We went in “just to look” and left with two dreamy goat milk soap bars and a 100% soy wax melt that smell amazing!

We’re getting all twisted over here with sourdough pretzels 🥨 🤍

Spent half the morning perfecting recipes, and let’s just say… it was worth every roll and sprinkle.
Soft-baked, buttery, and topped with just the right amount of sass (and salt).

Doors aren’t open yet… but when they are, these beauties will be ready to rein things in.

✨ A Sweet New Beginning – Bit & Bridle Bakery LLC ✨

WOW! The excitement around Bit & Bridle Bakery LLC has truly been such a blessing. For those who are new here, I’d love to properly introduce myself and share our story.

My name is Emily Skipper. I’m married to my wonderful husband, Lawson, and we have a beautiful daughter, Sally Ann. We are located in West End, NC.

In 2024, what began as a simple hobby—baking breads and sweet treats for my family—quickly grew into something much more. While working full-time as a paramedic, I felt God calling me toward something new. With a lot of prayer (and a little nervousness), I stepped away from EMS to pursue this dream. Not knowing what my next steps were. (I am currently working part-time at EMS)

Shortly after, we found out we were expecting, and life required me to slow down for a season. But even then, the vision never left.

Piece by piece, Lawson and I began working through the legal process of opening a business. We purchased a 10x20 storage building and completely renovated it from top to bottom into a working kitchen. We are currently finishing the state and county inspection process and are eagerly awaiting final approval.

While the building sits on family-owned land, regulations prevent direct public access. So instead of letting that stop us, we’re getting creative! Bit & Bridle Bakery will operate as a farmstand-style bakery(we will have a farmstand by the road) serving at local and distant farmers markets, pop-up events, and offering made-to-order items. A weekly menu will be posted, and delivery options will be available upon request.

This has been a dream of mine for many years, and I am beyond grateful to see it coming to life. We give all the glory to God.

🥐 What’s on the Menu? 🥖

Here’s just a taste of what we’ll be offering:

• Cinnamon rolls with rotating flavor toppings
• Croissants
• Fresh bagels
• Breads – sandwich, sourdough, artisan loaves, and seasonal flavors (blueberry lemon, banana streusel & more)
• English muffins
• Cookies – classic chocolate chip, Biscoff, peanut butter, and specialty flavors etc.
• Mini cakes with buttercream frosting
• Cupcakes
•Cakes of various sizes and flavors
• Seasonal infused salts – rosemary, basil, dill & more
• Fresh pasta – spaghetti, bowtie, fettuccine
• Dog biscuits & treats

And that’s just the beginning! If you don’t see what you’re craving, feel free to reach out — we may be able to accommodate special requests.

Once final paperwork is complete, we’ll announce our official opening date (release the address) and begin sharing weekly menus and market locations.
