Since we got rained out, we're bringing the market to the homestead tomorrow for a little trial run of something we've been dreaming about... a farm store experience! 🚜❤️

We'll have the trailer set up on the circle drive just like a market day, and we'll be completely under cover, so don't let the rain keep you away. Pull in, park, browse, shop, and enjoy a slower homestead shopping experience.

We’ve been busy in the homestead kitchen and are bringing TWO brand new items to Millyard Homestead this weekend 👀

🥃 Introducing: Millyard OG BBQ Sauce

Our very own homemade smoked BBQ sauce — rich, smoky, sweet, tangy, and dangerously good on just about everything. Backyard cookout approved. 🍖🔥

Sourdough Bowtie Pasta

Handmade from our sourdough pasta dough and shaped into the cutest little farfalle bows. Rustic, hearty, and ready for all your summer pasta dishes.

🐄✨ Homestead Hero of the Week is BACK… and this one’s a big one. ✨🐄

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve done a Homestead Hero of the Week, but we’re bringing it back with someone who has officially earned her spot around here… Dr. Lacie Reed! 👏

Dr. Lacie, along with Eastburn Veterinary Services, has been absolutely incredible to our homestead family — especially our girls. From answering the “is this normal?!” texts to helping us make big decisions for our herd, she takes amazing care of our four-legged troublemakers. We appreciate her more than she probably knows. ❤️

And now for the exciting news… 🥹🐄🎉

BONNIE + MINNIE ARE SUCCESSFULLY BRED!

If all goes as planned, we’ll be welcoming calves in January! Cue the tiny moo noises and all the baby cow excitement.

🌾 Homestead Fast Fact:

Did you know cows can be artificially inseminated using sexed semen? That means the odds can be heavily increased toward getting a specific gender calf.

Our girls are expected to have HEIFERS (little ladies 💅🐄), which means future milk girls that can eventually join and grow our dairy program right here at Millyard Homestead.

Tiny hooves. Bigger dreams. More milk. More chaos.

🌾 We’ve missed our favorite people! 💛

Millyard Homestead is dusting off the farm stand and loading up the goodies because we are SO excited to see you all this coming weekend at Storie Family Farms!

The last couple of weeks have had us slowing down a little and soaking in this season of life, but we are ready to get back to seeing familiar faces, catching up, and filling your bags with homestead favorites. 🐄🍞🥚

Come hungry, come chatty, come tell us what we missed while we were gone. We can't wait for the market mornings, the community, and all the little conversations that make this whole thing worth it.

Real life homestead update 🐄🍞

We are going to miss the next two weekends at Storie Family Farms market while we settle into summer break with the kids.

Between the homestead, the baking, the animals, deliveries, trying to build new routines, all while making memories with the kiddos, something has to give just a little bit.

Moving forward, we are hoping to attend market every other Saturday for a while. Starting Saturday May 30th.
We’ll see how it works for our family and the homestead, but I always want to keep everyone posted so nobody wonders where the homestead is hidding!!

We are absolutely still taking orders!!!

Happy Mother’s Day from Millyard Homestead

To the moms raising babies, bottle calves, gardens, sourdough starters, teenagers, tiny humans, chickens, whatever, and somehow still keeping everyone fed and loved… today is for you.

We see the early mornings, the late nights, the muddy boots, the packed lunches, the endless laundry, the quiet sacrifices, and the love poured into every little thing you do.

Whether your Mother’s Day looks like breakfast in bed, coffee in the barn, babies on your hip, or simply a peaceful moment on the porch… we hope today feels full of love.
