There have been so many moments over the last few years when I wondered if this dream would ever become reality.
There were closed doors, unexpected detours, financial hurdles, moments of doubt, and more than one time I questioned if it was time to let it go. But every time I started to give up, God would gently nudge me forward. He would open a door I couldn’t have opened myself, send the right person at the right time, or remind me that His timing has always been better than mine.
Looking back now, I can see that He wasn’t saying “no”… He was simply saying, “not yet.”
And now… that “yet” is here.
I am beyond excited to finally share that Maggie and I are officially partnering together to open The Shared Apron right here in Waverly.
This isn’t just a bakery to us.
It’s early mornings filled with fresh bread, cinnamon rolls, croissants, cookies, cakes, sandwiches, soup, coffee, and conversations. It’s a place where neighbors become friends, where celebrations are made sweeter, and where everyone has a seat at the table.
The Shared Apron represents two women bringing different gifts, different experiences, and one shared dream together. We believe the best things in life are shared—meals, laughter, burdens, victories… and fresh cinnamon rolls.
Our prayer is that this little bakery becomes exactly what our tagline says:
“Where Waverly Breaks Bread.”
To every person who has encouraged me, prayed for me, supported my little baking business over the years, bought a loaf of sourdough, shared a post, or simply believed in me before I believed in myself… thank you. You helped carry this dream farther than you know.
We have so much work ahead of us, but our hearts are full.
We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors once we open.
