The rhubarb season has arrived, bringing back fond memories of my childhood, shaped by my grandparents, Don and Bernita Benitz. Their rhubarb recipes, which we kids lovingly mispronounced as Bar-Ba-Roo, were always a hit. From the flaky crusts of pies to the tangy sweetness of stewed rhubarb and raisins, rhubarb was a beloved ingredient. Baking brings me joy, and I welcome the chance to share it with others. At the Spring Farm to Table Dinner Event held at McCrite Plaza tonight, Chef Tina and her team delivered an outstanding seasonal feast featuring scallops, morel mushrooms, spring peas, and more. I was pleased to provide the dessert, Dubai Chocolate Tiramisu. Everything received enthusiastic reviews... including the Sangria!

Enjoyed this beautiful day making one of my favorite cookies... Jam Filled Thumbprints! These are Strawberry Rhubard! My rhubard plants are already growing like crazy and I can't wait for harvest season! Happy first day of SPRING!!! 🌼🌱🌸

Harley Feek is getting an early Valentine shout-out! His faith in me and my baking abilities is truly uplifting and appreciated! ❤️ While I am away relaxing in the Dominican Republic, he will be at Anderson's Meats in Troy, with my Baked Treats and Gourmet Caramel Dipped Apples, hoping to make your Valentine's Day a little sweeter! Come show him some love between 8 and noon this Saturday! While you're there, grab a steak to throw on the grill... I've got dessert taken care of for you!
