WATERVILLE – In the years since its completion, Parker Square has provided much-needed green space along the Maumee River, with guests of the Roche de Boeuf Festival and holiday events utilizing the area. But the Community Flea Market – which will have its final event of the year on Sunday, Aug. 16 – is the first regular use of the space.

Parker Square is an ideal location for the flea market because customers pushing wheelchairs, walkers or strollers can visit all of the booths while on an even sidewalk, according to market founder Aggie Alt, proprietor of The Old House.

“I wanted to create an opportunity for local businesses to showcase their products and services to the community, and for people to come see the park while doing some shopping,” Alt said.

Eats & Beats Food Truck Tuesdays Are Back!

Eats & Beats Food Truck Tuesdays are in full swing this summer, with the next event happening July 14, followed by the final night on August 11, 2026, at Conrad Park (Michigan Ave) from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.

These family-friendly evenings are organized by the Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission and sponsored by the City of Waterville. There is no admission fee to attend.

This year’s events celebrate the 250th anniversary of America and feature live music, food trucks, artisan vendors, and patriotic kids’ crafts. Don’t miss the July 14 event, which includes a special partnership with the Waterville Historical Society for their children’s program, Kids Dig History.

Grab the family, bring a lawn chair, and join us at the park next week for a great night of food, music, and community fun.
