The cherries and pineapple were delivered a day early, so I've mixed the filler for the Fruitcake cookies! This fruit and nut mix has to soak in bourbon for ~24 hours, so I'll have cookies ready on Thursday... because I have grandbabies ALL day tomorrow!

If you cringe at the idea of fruitcake cookies, no worries! You can mix and match from 7 other flavors in December! As always.

I confess, I love fruitcake...so indulgent 😍

I'm waiting for some ingredients (arriving Tuesday), and I'm not sure when eggnog will arrive in the market, so... until then... what I have for December:

Gingerbread Latte w/Brown Butter Icing - classic gingerbread spiked with espresso

Orange Cardamom Sugar Cookies - more browned butter, fresh orange zest, cardamom, and cinnamon

Hot Cocoa w/Marshmallow - rich chocolate cookie topped with a giant melted marshmallow drizzled with chocolate ganache

Sugar Plum Fairy - orange zest, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg rolled in pink sugar & swirled with a strawberry-plum buttercream

(GS) Peanut Butter M&M - classic Peanut Butter cookie made with roasted peanut flour and loaded with mini M&Ms

So... I went searching for ingredients for December the other day... because it's ALREADY Thursday!! How?

Anyway... the grocery stores do not agree with my Christmas cookie attempts :-P

I am going to bake as many of the cookies from the list as I can, and I'll fill in when more seasonal flavors hit the shelves. In the meantime, I'm going to start baking through the bars/brownies!

As reported, I have grandchildren ALL week...every day... this week, so I'll get started as soon as possible. I have a batch of Sugar Plum Fairy in the refrigerator that needs to be baked today.

The kids did some 'survival training' at Falls Lake yesterday... by which I mean they decided to swim in their clothes. It was an interesting day... full of struggles for the adults in the room!! LOL

Anyway, the (GS) peanut butter cookies in December are made with peanut flour... this is a new ingredient for me, so... fingers crossed! 👍

The bad news is nobody but my testers gets to try them... I mean...this could also be good news...but we are going to be positive in the downside, right?! 😛
