Jennifer Opiela-Miksch is a retired dive shop owner, longtime scuba diver and instructor, underwater storyteller, and travel host with Dive with Walt & Jen. Through photography, video, and social media, she shares the beauty of the underwater world while inspiring others to explore and protect our oceans. Jennifer recently led a group adventure to Dominica, “The Nature Island of the Caribbean,” where she explored volcanic reefs, lush rainforests, waterfalls, and the vibrant culture surrounding Fort Young Hotel.

Join Jennifer as she shares stories, travel tips, diving highlights, and what makes Dominica one of the most unique dive destinations in the Caribbean.

This month’s presentation is going be in two parts, centering around corals! Ashley Tejada will be presenting , “Abundance and Health Status for Starlet Corals in Roatàn, Honduras,” and Caden Helona will present on, “A Longitudinal Study of Macroorganism Associations and Health Status of Demospongiae Species in Roatán, Honduras.” BTDC loves diving in Roatán, so we are in for a real treat. Hope to see you there!🪸

It was a great meeting tonight with Rachael from the Florida Public Archaeology Network presenting! It was very interesting & we loved her enthusiasm! It was nice to see everyone & a big BTDC “welcome” to our new members!
