WE WON BEST BOBA SHOP IN CLARK COUNTY!!
I honestly don’t even know how to put this into words. This is the first year “Best Boba Shop” has been a category, and somehow, Short & Sweet was chosen. To some people, maybe that’s just an award. To us, it means so much more.
When we started Short & Sweet, we weren’t super wealthy. We didn’t have major investors or some huge business loan. Truthfully, we didn’t even qualify for one. We took our savings, took a chance on ourselves, and went for it. There have been SO many days where we wondered if we were finally going to catch our big break, or if we were in danger of losing everything. We’ve struggled, questioned ourselves, worked until we were exhausted, and poured so much of ourselves into this little shop.
But somewhere along the way, Short & Sweet became so much bigger than a business. It became a place where families came together, where kids grew up with their favorite drinks and donuts, and where our team became family. It became a place where our girls could watch their parents take a crazy idea, work their butts off, and refuse to give up.
That’s what makes this award so emotional. It’s not really about the boba. It’s about every person who walked through our doors and became part of our story. To our team, thank you for giving Short & Sweet your time, energy, heart, and personality. To our customers, thank you for choosing us, coming back, bringing your friends and families, and sharing birthdays, milestones, and everyday moments with us. And to our community, thank you for giving us something money can’t buy: A reason to keep going.
And to our two girls, I hope one day you look back and realize what we were trying to show you: you don’t need perfect circumstances to chase something you believe in. Sometimes you just have to take the first step, then keep taking the next one, even when you’re scared.
We’re incredibly proud of our team, our family, and our community. More than anything, we’re grateful.
