I looove ocean themed cakes! This was a Neapolitan style, with 1 layer of strawberry, 1 layer of vanilla, and 1 layer of chocolate cake, all with vanilla buttercream frosting 🤤

The toppers were inedible, but all decoration on the sides are edible - even the seashells! 🐚

It’s getting HOT out here 🔥 so I want to post a few tips for keeping your cakes safe this summer so that you can plan ahead ☀️

No cake soup for you! 🥣

- All of my cakes stay in my refrigerator right up until they’re picked up to help with safe travel, but your vehicle will still need to be air conditioned if driving more than a few minutes ⏱️ If your vehicle doesn’t cool down well, I recommend bringing an already-cold cooler! No ice though 🧊 melting ice is real bad for cake boxes

- Make sure the section of floorboard where the cake will travel (no trunks, seats, or laps ever! EVER!) will be out of direct sun - you can also place a towel over the box if you don’t have tinted windows 🪟

- Keep them babies cold! 🥶 As soon as you get home, put your cake directly into the fridge right away. But don’t like run with the cake please 🏃‍♂️

- If your event is indoors (AND is 74° or below), take the cake out and place it directly where it will be displayed about an hour before cutting 🎂 8” cakes with 3+ layers, 10” cakes with 2+ layers, and any tiered cakes can be taken out up to 2 hours before - the bigguns need a bit more time to get to room temperature for easiest slicing 🔪

- If your event is outdoors, keep the cake inside following the previous instructions, and only bring it out briefly for photos, singing, and slicing - once everyone is served, bring it back inside. If it’s already starting to get soft, pop it back in the fridge. Frosting melts very quickly in this heat and humidity, so the less time outside the better! In direct sun, a cake can be fully melted in just 30 minutes 🫠

- If your event is outdoors and you won’t have access to any air conditioning, place the cake box directly from the fridge into a cooler that has already been loaded with ice packs long enough that the cooler is already cold inside ❄️ make sure to finagle some towels in there to prevent condensation touching the cake box, and then just follow the previous instructions

I can’t believe that today is the 3 year anniversary of opening this bakery! This has already grown drastically more than I’d ever imagined and I couldn’t be happier that I get to help so many people! I never thought I would get to bake so many first-ever birthday cakes and desserts and it truly means so much to me to have your trust in making all your celebrations allergen safe. Getting to bake so many fun and beautiful designs is just the icing on top 😉

And thank you all so very much for every single review and referral, I definitely did not build this all on my own and I am so incredibly grateful to each and every one of you. Nothing has given me more purpose and fulfillment than this bakery has and I look forward to continuing baking for y’all! 🎂
