We couldn't be more excited to see our community rally around local restaurants, support literacy programs, and most importantly...Eat some incredible burgers. 🍔❤️

Just some Friday night reading for you while I am closing up. I like being here after hours - it’s when I do my best thinking.

Right now, I am thinking about one of my most favorite parts of this bakery. My bar. If you can take your eyes off the baked goods in the display case.. it might be the focal point of the room.

Back when I started planning for the bakery in 2017 these bar stools were the first thing I bought. They are genuine 1930s diner stools and I HAD to have them. I needed a huge bar to go with them so we had this one custom made by Geddy Graves (nephew of some great coffee roasting friends). Then dad and I worked together to stain it.

To complete the bar & the BEST part, were the thoughtfully placed pictures and old recipes, topped with some giant scary breakable sheets of glass in order to protect them. These pictures are my parents, grandparents, great grandparents, my children’s grandparents, etc. The recipes were hand written by my great grandmother. While these may not be original copies, they are the only physical copies that I have of these recipes and I treasure them very much. (believe it or not, fam)

With all that being said - please do not move this glass off my bar. I liked how my pictures were arranged (by me 💁🏻‍♀️) and it would be such an expensive disaster if the glass would have been broken.
