September is shaping up to be a busy month of travel, family events, and a little time away from the ovens for us!

One of the things that makes a microbakery a micro bakery is that there really is a family behind it all. Everything is made by us, from scratch, in small batches, right here in our cottage kitchen. There isn’t a big staff keeping things running while we’re away, so when we take a break, the bakery takes a break too.

We’re sharing these dates early so you can plan your sourdough and sweet treat orders around our closures. Between our travels, we’ll be right back in the kitchen doing what we love, baking for you!

Thank you for keeping our cottage kitchen so wonderfully busy and for supporting a small, family-run bakery that gets to make room for both the work we love and the life we love. 🤎🍞

Do you know why we chose butterflies for our lemon shortbread? 🦋🍋

Dolly Parton is very special to our family. Her warmth, generosity, and the beautiful legacy she’s created inspire us endlessly. We visit Dollywood several times a year (heading there in September, so keep an eye out for closures), and we’ve even had our own take on her famous cinnamon bread on our menu.

Butterflies have always been Dolly’s special symbol, so these little lemon butterflies are our sweet nod to her. 💛🦋

We have three different varieties growing here on the property, and today we gathered the first apples of the year. Soon enough, there will be baskets full and plenty making their way into the kitchen (and the cottage stand)
