🗓️ Opening September 5th from 8am-10am!!

🤍 we’re so thrilled to bring you our take on a home bakery outpost, featuring specialty items from SHC AND friends.

We’ll have weekly staples, seasonal surprised and holiday favorites (Check back for sneak peeks on our available treats!)

Everything is curated and chosen to brighten your day, be given as a gift, amplify a precious moment or elevate a celebration.

The Nook is designed to be accessible for families, a place to grab a gift & leave a prayer request, spotlight other local artisans and continue that warm, home feel that hopefully slows you down in the busyness of life.

❕ This transition means I will no longer be fulfilling custom orders below $200- large events and weddings only. If you already have a booked order, don’t worry- this only applies from here on out!

🤍 Weekly, I’ll share how this little beauty will be stocked with everything you need for small events and the every day pick-me-up.

This past weekend, I turned ✨ 34 ✨ and SHC turned ✨ 7 ✨. I love that our birthdays line up 🥹💕

It was such a busy weekend that I didn’t bake anything for myself BUT here are some beautiful little numbers 🥹 (wedding cakes were accompanied by sheet cakes or cupcakes that aren’t pictured).

In year 8 of SHC, some big changes are coming and I’ll be announcing them very soon. One things for sure, I won’t be done baking for you anytime soon 💕 stay tuned!

Another very delayed photo drop 🥰 I’ve been pulling younger-Kelly hours lately and have discovered that I am indeed not a spring chicken anymore 🫪
Per usual there’s only about 30% of my bakes documented here due to being slightlyyyyy overbooked but it’s been very fun meeting new faces, going to new venues and of course baking for my regulars is always near to my heart.
I also finally go to visit Morning Star Bakery And Cafe (last slide) and as a baker I was TREATED to baked goods done right, done with love and such darling staff. Go give them a visit 💕

🩷🩵 Gender reveals are some of the most rewarding (and stressful bakes) I get to be a part of.
Sometimes I get an email, or an envelope dropped off in my mailbox, or a call from the OB office. Either way I treasure that time and make sure when I design the cake, cupcakes, cake pops or even macarons- they’re sneak proof and perfect for photos. The cakes will have an extra thick layers of buttercream on the outside for little curious hands, cake pops are sometimes coated twice 🤣 cupcakes and macarons are slowly made and chilled right away.
It’s SO fun to see them in action, thank you for sharing these photos and congratulations on your GIRL 🥹💕

Ai and the creative world are not besties right now 🤣 that being said, I think it’s helpful when you need to make models or measure out to scale certain cake designs.

However, when it comes to taste-approved design, I think AI can set unreachable expectations in terms of what human hands can actually accomplish or what we desire them to accomplish as artists. The bakery world is very broad, so I’m referring specifically about artisan bakeries rather than mass produced or machine bakeries. When the hands that made the desserts are important to the craft and important to the client, AI can sometimes get in the way of that.
