Hello everyone,

We are Matt and Jessica Stribling, and it is truly an honor to introduce ourselves as the new owners of Button Willow.

Smithville is home to us in every sense of the word. My family has been part of this community for many years—from my parents opening Stribling Chevrolet in 1984, to my dad serving as county mayor, and my mom, sister, and me being deeply involved in the community.

My wife, Jessica, managed Dairy Queen for years and took her love of sweets to a new level with the opening of Creekstone Cheesecakes. That journey is what first connected us to Button Willow in September 2025. Together, we have built our life here, raising our children, Ava Layne (15) and Carson Creek (5), and we are so excited for this new adventure!

Button Willow has always been a place that feels special—a place where you can walk in and feel known, welcomed, and cared for, no matter who you are or where you come from. That’s what drew us here. As this next chapter begins, we truly see it as a passing of the torch.

What Joe, Angela, and the entire team have built over the past 10 years is something rare. It’s more than a coffee shop—it’s a cornerstone of this community and a space filled with connection, warmth, and heart.

We are incredibly grateful for the trust they have placed in us to carry this forward, and our hearts are set on preserving that same sense of community and love. While we are excited to bring fresh ideas, energy, and growth, we are equally committed to preserving the heart that has always made this place so special.

We are looking forward to getting to know each of you and continuing to make Button Willow a place where memories are made.

Joe and Angela, congratulations on your retirement! What you’ve built is truly special, and we’re honored to carry the torch forward — continuing to grow in that same spirit you’ve created. We wish you the very best in your next chapter!!

Hello Everyone,

After 10½ beautiful years, Angela and I have made the decision to officially retire and pass Button Willow on to new ownership.

What started in 2015 as Treasures on Main became something so much more than a shop or a coffee stop… it became a place where people gathered, where friendships were formed, where stories were shared, and where everyone was welcomed just as they were.

Button Willow was never just about what we sold—it was about how it made people feel.

And that’s because of all of you.

To our employees… you became family in every sense of the word. You poured your hearts into this place, and it showed every single day.

To our customers and friends… thank you for walking through our doors, for supporting us, for choosing us, and for allowing Button Willow to be a small part of your lives. You are the heartbeat of everything this place has been.

It’s hard to put into words what these years have meant—10 Jamborees, 10 Homecoming Parades, 10 Boo Bashes, 10 Christmas Parades… and countless ordinary days that turned into unforgettable memories. Time has a way of moving quickly, but the moments we’ve shared here will stay with us forever.

As this chapter comes to a close, we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead.

It is truly an honor to pass the torch to Matt and Jessica Stribling, owners of Creekstone Cheesecakes. We believe deeply in their vision, their heart, and their commitment to community, and we know they will carry Button Willow forward with the same spirit you’ve come to know and love.

Our hope is to make this transition as seamless and thoughtful as possible for our families, our team, and all of you. Button Willow will be closed on Monday, March 30 as we take care of final details, and will reopen under new ownership on Tuesday, March 31.

Smithville… thank you. For your support, your kindness, your loyalty, and your love over the years. This place has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives.

Before we close this chapter, we would love to hear your stories—your favorite memories, your photos, the moments that made Button Willow special to you. 🤍

Because in the end… that’s what this was always about.
