Baking sourdough breads, cinnamon rolls, cakes, cupcakes, cookies and since 2012 after attending bread baking school in San Francisco.

We now have cake pops, and sourdough brownies. The Busy Rolling Pin ~ "Baked with love and a sprinkle of happiness.” The Busy Rolling Pin is a cottage bakery in Sioux City, IA, where home-baker Sandy bakes cinnamon rolls, sourdough breads, and cookies, and decorates sugar cookies, floral cupcakes, and cakes. Sandy and her husband, Troy, sell baked goods at Southern Hills Mall on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. From May to September, they also sell at the Le Mars Farmers Market on Saturdays. You may even see a grandchild or two selling with them! In 2012, Sandy attended the San Francisco Baking Institute and completed a 90-day bread-baking class, where learning about sourdough bread was a primary focus. Troy and Sandy have 11 grandchildren and enjoy spending time with them and eating out. Troy loves watching sports, while Sandy enjoys reading romance novels!

There could be times when I may not be able to get into our store on Sunday early enough to make cinnamon rolls😞. Due to this, we will offer our cinnamon rolls at 12:00 on Sunday. On Saturday, we will offer 11:00, like usual. 😋🙃. The Busy Rolling Pin Southern Hills Mall, theater entrance. Remember, you can order them online as well. 😊

We sell over 400 Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies every weekend😋

Our Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies aren’t just chocolate chip cookies with sourdough added—they’re a whole different kind of delicious. 🤎

Our sourdough starter enhances every ingredient, bringing out the rich, buttery flavor and giving those chocolate chips an even deeper, more irresistible taste. The result is a cookie that’s soft, chewy, buttery, chocolate-packed, and perfectly balanced with that subtle sourdough depth.

And apparently, you all agree… because we sell over 400 of these cookies EVERY weekend! 😳🍪

That’s more than 400 little bites of sourdough goodness heading out our door every weekend—and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Once you taste what sourdough does to a chocolate chip cookie, there’s no going back. ❤️
