Excited to bring spring flowers to Shoreview. Tulips are here. Anemones, ranunculus, and peonies are also in cue for May and June! Last fall the kids helped me plant 1,000 tulips for you! 🌷

Happy Spring! My crafty side got the best of me and I have to ask- “Why doesn’t Mother Nature grow tulips 🌷 from carrots??”🥕

I am so eager for the spring to be here. 😁 The growing season here at Uffda Gals is going to be amazing, dare I say! The growing season started in February with all the seedlings 🌱 begun under grow lights in my basement. Seeds have been ordered from all over the US and Canada, with crop plans being made to maximize growing space, crop production and expansive new varieties and fillers this year!

The best part-I’m so excited to share that we will have spring flowers this year! I’m hoping to open up the flower stand sometime in early to mid-May, so stay tuned. 💐

For early spring flowers, we will have gorgeous ranunculus that were just planted tonight and tucked in for the chillier days ahead. We also will have anemones, snapdragons,and tulips. If you saw me in the fall, I may have shared that I planted 1,000 tulips and 100 daffodils in November. 🥴

For summer, I have 30-40 different varieties of zinnias and dahlias planned. Excited to share all this beauty with you!

Uffda Gals is coming out of hibernation and preparing for flower season! Our growing space is doubling this year and the prep work has begun to enrich the soil.

Inside the house, we have many of these little critters that I started in February sprouting in the basement. Any guesses as to what they are-first winner gets a bouquet of 🌷 once they are ready!

“Uffda!” That’s all I have to say. 🤪 👩‍🍳

Finally a day of quiet, not waking up at 4:30 or 5:00AM like I have for the past 5 weeks.

It was a fun and crazy month at Uffda Gals. I don’t even know what happened this month, but here are some rough numbers I can recall:

1,000 Kos Cookies
500 rosettes fried
400-500 royal iced cookies
200 sandbakkels annoyingly tapped to release from their tins
100 plus hours of Spotify Christmas 🎵 played
50 pounds of flour sifted and dusted across my kitchen and clothes
45 boxes never sent by Amazon and replaced with a mannequin head instead 😳
25 pounds of butter purchased
23 bags of powdered sugar
14 batches of royal icing
2 deep fryers running and 2 KitchenAID Mixers spinning
1 very tired and content Mama

Come see us tomorrow and Sunday from 10-2pm at Wagner’s Garden Center! This is our last market of the year.
