It’s raining. The bread is warm. We know where we’d rather be. ☔️🥖☕️

Thursday is serving up some serious soggy weather, which seems like an excellent excuse to come hide out with us for a while.

Grab a seat, settle in, and let our full coffee & tea bar handle the rest. Hot latte? Tea? Something iced because Texans refuse to let weather dictate beverage temperature? We’ve got you. 😂

Well, Edouard was a little underwhelming… but Wednesday’s bakery case understood the assignment. 😂🥖

The kids are home, the worst of the rain headed east, and KMB is OPEN and fully stocked — which sounds suspiciously like permission to make today a bread-and-treat field trip. 😆

Gary & Co. are looking particularly handsome this morning with Original, Einkorn, Butter, and Roasted Garlic & Rosemary Sourdough, plus English White! 🥖

We’re back Wednesday with Gary doing what Gary does best, and this week’s bread lineup is bringing some serious contenders to make your week full of flavor and to make you ask yourself why you didn’t grab more while you were here.

SUNDAY FUNDAY has entered the bakery…and she apparently has zero interest in going quietly. 😂🥖

It’s your last chance to stock the kitchen before we close up shop for Monday & Tuesday, and we may have gotten a little carried away with the send-off. 😬

We’ve got Original, Einkorn, Butter, and Roasted Garlic & Rosemary sourdough, plus English White — but the Sunday specials are where things start getting a little unhinged:

Apparently Britain saw an opportunity to hang around somewhere it was only supposed to visit and thought, “Yes. We have some experience with this.” 😭😂

So Victoria will be holding court one more day with her vanilla sponge, strawberry compote and whipped cream. We recommend enjoying this particular British occupation with a fork. 🇬🇧🍓

SATURDAY has arrived, and apparently the bakery chose abundance. 😂🥖

The bread wall is STACKED today with Original, Einkorn, Honey Butter, Garlic & Cheese, and Jalapeño Cheddar sourdough. And can we discuss that Garlic & Cheese loaf for a moment?! That crispy little cheese eruption on the side is basically the sourdough equivalent of showing a little ankle. 👀🤣

The pastry case understood the assignment too: Chocolate Espresso, Lemon, Baklava & You Cheddar Believe It scones, jumbo Blueberry and Peach Cobbler muffins, Chocolate Chip and Brown Sugar Pop-Tart cookies, Nanny’s Coffee Cake, and Apple Cinnamon Quick Bread. 😮‍💨

But because apparently that wasn’t enough…

🐷 Pigs-in-a-Blanket are back for the weekend!

🇬🇧🍓 And our Victoria Sponge Cake is making another appearance today—beautiful vanilla sponge, homemade strawberry compote and fluffy whipped cream. She’s classy. She’s British. She has absolutely no idea what’s happening over in the pigs-in-a-blanket section. 😂

FRI-YAY has entered the bakery, and she did not come to play. 😂🍞🍰

The bread shelves are showing off with Original, Einkorn, Hatch Chile & Cheese, Pizza, and Harvest Brown… who apparently forgot to get dressed this morning. 🤣 Our bakers forgot its usual oat topping, so please excuse its naked little head. Same delicious Harvest Brown underneath—we promise it’s decent enough to be out in public. 😂

And then there’s the pastry case. Chocolate Espresso, Lemon, Baklava & You Cheddar Believe It scones, Blueberry and Peach Cobbler jumbo muffins, cookies, Nanny’s Coffee Cake, Apple Cinnamon Quick Bread… basically, choosing responsibly has been canceled for the day.

AND SHE’S HERE! 🇬🇧🍓

Our Victoria Sponge Cake has officially joined Cakes From Around the World: two buttery vanilla sponge layers brushed with simple syrup, filled with homemade strawberry compote and fluffy whipped cream. Simple, classic, and frankly looking far too elegant to be hanging around with Naked Harvest Brown. 😂

And Navarro Gluten Free Bakery has a fresh gluten free delivery with delicious breads and pastries!

Ohhhh Thursday showed up golden, crusty, and apparently incapable of being subtle. 😂🍞

The bread shelves are STACKED today with Original, Einkorn, Hatch Chile and the ridiculously cozy Browned Butter & Toasted Oats. And judging by those crusts, Gary clearly woke up this morning and chose excellence.

Meanwhile, the pastry case is absolutely refusing to behave. We’ve got Chocolate Espresso, Lemon, Baklava and You Cheddar Believe It scones, Blueberry & Peach Cobbler Jumbo Muffins, Chocolate Chip & Brown Sugar Pop-Tart Cookies, plus Nanny’s Coffee Cake.

Basically, Thursday understood the assignment. 🤌

Come grab a loaf, pick something sweet (or cheesy… we don’t judge), and maybe get an extra treat for Future You. Future You has been through a lot and deserves a pastry. 😂

THE TWO-DAY BREAD DROUGHT IS OVER. 🚨🍞

We know. Monday and Tuesday were difficult. You were brave. You persevered. And now… KMB IS BACK. 😂

The shelves are loaded and Wednesday came to play: Original, Einkorn, Butter, Roasted Garlic & Rosemary AND English White — plus a pastry case full of reasons to abandon whatever sensible breakfast plans you had.

Chocolate Espresso. Lemon. Baklava. You Cheddar Believe It. Peach Cobbler muffins. Brown Sugar Pop-Tart cookies. Nanny’s Coffee Cake…

Basically, if your bread box has been looking tragically empty for the last two days, this is your sign to come carb-load accordingly.

And today, we’re adding just a little extra for Dolly. 💛🦋

The world feels a little less sparkly this morning. She reminded us that you can work hard, laugh often, love people well, give generously, wear entirely too many rhinestones, and never take yourself too seriously.

That feels like a pretty good recipe for a life.

Is it summer? Is it fall? We have no idea. It’s hot either way 😅

So we baked for BOTH. 😂🍞

This week’s menu is having a bit of an identity crisis, and frankly, we support it.

We’ve got bright summer flavors hanging out right alongside the first little hints of cozy season — Hatch Chile, Harvest Brown, Peach Cobbler, Apple Cinnamon, Brown Sugar Pop-Tart Cookies… and enough sourdough varieties to make choosing just one loaf wildly unreasonable.

And because apparently we weren’t already doing enough, this weekend we’re hopping across the pond for Victoria Sponge Cake 🇬🇧, rolling up Pigs-in-a-Blanket, and finishing Sunday with morning rolls because Sunday calories are between you and your conscience. 😶

Basically: sweet, savory, spicy, buttery, fruity, chocolatey, cheesy and carb-y.

We contain multitudes. And apparently so does the menu. 😂

And DON’T FORGET!
🔥 Labor Day pre-orders are LIVE, too! Hamburger buns, jalapeño hamburger buns, hot dog buns, sourdough and cookies are ready to make your cookout considerably less grocery-store-bun-ish. 😏
