This year stretched me, inspired me, and reminded me why I chose this path in the first place. To every couple who trusted me with a piece of their wedding day, and every planner, photographer, florist, venue, and fellow creative who welcomed me into their work thank you. Truly.

Cake, for me, has never just been dessert. It’s art, emotion, collaboration, and storytelling. Every sketch, every texture, every detail carries intention and care. I pour all of myself into this work because I believe wedding cakes deserve the same thoughtfulness as every other element of a celebration.

As the year comes to a close, I’m reflecting on a season that shaped my work in the most meaningful way.

In 2025, I completed approximately 92 events, each one approached with intention, restraint, and a commitment to creating something truly bespoke. This year pushed me creatively more than any before. New edible mediums, sculptural designs, and a deeper exploration of cake as art.
I’m grateful for the recognition from Martha Stewart Weddings, Wedding Chicks, Los Angeles Times, Associated Press, CNN, Green Wedding Shoes, Bridal Guide, Arizona Bride, Mountain West Bride, and Loverly. Honors like Arizona Bride Best of 2025 Wedding Cake and a museum submission remind me that thoughtful work resonates beyond a single moment.
As I look toward 2026, the focus remains the same. Fewer assumptions. Stronger design language. An experience that feels personal from the very first inquiry.

I’m grateful for the trust behind every celebration and looking ahead to what’s next.

Can you picture things in your mind?

Aphantasia means that I cannot visualize anything. I can’t close my eyes and see images. I don’t really dream. I can’t imagine or recall images. I know the concepts and I can explain descriptions. I learned this years ago when I was playing golf. But now that I am constantly looking to design and create, learning how I can best do so has been interesting!

I’ve learned that I love organic feeling cakes because even I don’t know the end result until I get there. I’m not following a vision in my head.

Having an inspo image can be challenging because I constantly reference back to an actual copy of the picture to work off of. It doesn’t feel like it gives me a lot of room to change anything.

Mood boards can be helpful but the best mood boards give me visuals of feelings, motion, architecture!
