we had the honor of baking some cupcakes for a friend-of-a-friend’s gender reveal celebration a few weeks ago 🥹

rather than go with the traditional pink and blue buttercream decorations, we opted for a design that felt more like us: fresh fruit! we did 🍓 for a girl and 🫐 for a boy

they were vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream. we made a berry jam based on the secret results in the envelope we were given, and mixed the jam in with the center buttercream filling 👀

when the soon-to-be parents bit into the cupcakes, they saw they were having a little girl 🍓🍓🍓

it felt so special to be a part of that family’s big moment 🥹

we had a spook-tastic time last weekend at Old Stove Gardens bookish bazaar 🦇

not only were the vibes were spooky and fun 👻 , they also had y’all in the mood to munch! we sold out after only 2hrs! 🤯

we appreciate everyone for coming out and making that such a wonderful event to vend at 💛

we’re back at Ono Authentic Hawaiian Poke for a delicious line-up of desserts, one of which will be our calamansi sheet cake 🤤

it’s a calamansi triple threat with layers of calamansi cake, buttercream, and curd! 🌟

we love teachers, and teachers love cookies, so when an order came through to treat a customer’s fellow educators to a little back-to-school pick-me-up, we were honored to be involved! 🍪

6 dozen brown butter chocolate chip and espresso cookies (pictured), and 1 dozen off-menu gf lemon butter cookies, made their way down to burien for those teachers 💛

our first 6” calamansi olive oil cake order went out a few days ago for a family celebration 🥹

your orders have kept us busy this month! 💛 we’re delivering another special cake order later today for a work party happening tomorrow, and then we’re taking a little break for the rest of the week before diving back in for pop-up prep ⛅️

this order got us thinking.. it’s been a minute since we’ve sold ube cream puffs at a pop-up! should we bring them back for Ono Authentic Hawaiian Poke later this month?? 👀💜

and just like that, it’s september 🥰

we’ve only got one pop-up on the books so far this month, but we’re already busy with orders and some back-of-house organization work as we gear up for fall and winter markets! 💪

thanks for welcoming us back to the pop-up scene 💛 we had a blast sharing our august menu with you, and we look forward to more yummy things to come!
