What is Coqui? Why the name Coqui Cookies?

A Coqui, pronounce (ko•kee) is one of the national animals of Puerto Rico. Named after the sound it makes, the Coqui is a small tree frog who's song fills the countryside

on the Island, similar to the cicadas here in the south. The Coqui frog is a dear piece of home for me and many Puerto Ricans on the mainland.

I chose the name Coqui Cookies because it combines two important characteristics of my brand: Puerto Rican culture, and baking. Although I sell more than cookies, the aliteration of these words brings a welcoming sweetness that encompasses the Coqui Cookies personality.

Coqui Cookies was created to share some of my culture with the Savannah communty , and to bring a piece of Puerto Rico to those who miss it.

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a nice December ❤️ I have a few quick updates about our upcoming vending dates at the :

🗓️December 13 - We won’t be at the market, we will be spending time with family 🥰
👩🏻‍🍳December 20 & 27 - We plan on attending the market. Any changes will be announced on our social media, please be sure to have your notifications on.
🗓️ January 3 - we won’t be at the market.

👩🏻‍🍳January 10 -> returning to the market regularly.

My hubby and I along with the Savannah Harbor Cruises crew decked out the boat for the River Street light parade this year! And we won best power boat 🎉❤️
Thanks to everyone who helped out and to all the customers who joins us for the Christmas Karaoke during the parade. It was an awesome night! ❤️

📣Unfortunately due to complications from street closures around Forsyth Park from a marathon I’m unable to participate at the this Saturday. 😔
Normally I would be able to park further out and haul everything in my dolly cart, but due to my ankle still being in recovery that is simply too strenuous at the moment.

🚚Instead I will offer deliveries in the Downtown, Midtown and Ardsley Park neighborhoods on Monday November 17, and Pick ups at . DM to order by Saturday afternoon.

Ps. The itself will still be open 9am-1pm on Saturday.

This Weekend at Casita Coqui:

👩‍🌾Saturday 9am-1pm at our friends Virginia & Ben will be working the booth for us. ❤️

☕️Sunday 10am-2pm I’ll be there serving warm breads, and Coquito Cappuccinos 🎉

🩼 Ankle update: I got a few more weeks left wearing the brace, so I’ve been taking time to rest and stay off it during the week in hopes of a quicker recovery. It is looking and feeling better though. 🥰 thank you to everyone who’s checked in, and to all the friends who’ve been jumping in to help keep Casita Coqui running, I truly appreciate you all.❤️
