What is Coqui? Why the name Coqui Cookies?

A Coqui, pronounce (ko•kee) is one of the national animals of Puerto Rico. Named after the sound it makes, the Coqui is a small tree frog who's song fills the countryside

on the Island, similar to the cicadas here in the south. The Coqui frog is a dear piece of home for me and many Puerto Ricans on the mainland.

I chose the name Coqui Cookies because it combines two important characteristics of my brand: Puerto Rican culture, and baking. Although I sell more than cookies, the aliteration of these words brings a welcoming sweetness that encompasses the Coqui Cookies personality.

Coqui Cookies was created to share some of my culture with the Savannah communty , and to bring a piece of Puerto Rico to those who miss it.

Because everything is hand printed we will only be offering these on our website until August 31st, so be sure to place your order request asap. 🛍️

Items will be available for pick up at the Forsyth Farmers' Market , local delivery in Savannah, and we will be offering shipping to USA & PR 📦
