What is Coqui? Why the name Coqui Cookies?

A Coqui, pronounce (ko•kee) is one of the national animals of Puerto Rico. Named after the sound it makes, the Coqui is a small tree frog who's song fills the countryside on the Island, similar to the cicadas here in the south. The Coqui frog is a dear piece of home for me and many Puerto Ricans on the mainland.

I chose the name Coqui Cookies because it combines two important characteristics of my brand: Puerto Rican culture, and baking. Although I sell more than cookies, the aliteration of these words brings a welcoming sweetness that encompasses the Coqui Cookies personality.

Coqui Cookies was created to share some of my culture with the Savannah communty , and to bring a piece of Puerto Rico to those who miss it.

So excited to announce that on Saturday and Sunday October 24 & 25 we will be at Orleans Square for Wag-O-Ween !🎉 🐶 🐱
It will be a fun weekend in Savannah so be sure to plan ahead to visit all your favorite vendors around the city!

We will only be at Wag-O-Ween but here are some of the other fun activities happening that weekend:

We have a signed agreement allowing customers to use the 40-space parking lot across from our shop, plus street parking directly in front. Our quick-service model keeps visits short: orders take 15 minutes or less, and grab-and-go purchases take about 5 minutes.

⛈️ Unfortunately due to the high chance of thunderstorms on Saturday, we won’t be attending the Forsyth Farmers' Market . However Online Orders will be open until Friday at 8pm, for delivery and pickup on Sunday!
