As I wrap up my first quarter since starting Snout & Scone in June, I’ve been reflecting on why I started this small business in the first place. Snout & Scone was inspired by my senior boy, Trigger, but my time at the shelter and the dogs I’ve had the privilege of caring for throughout my life made me certain that giving back to animals in our community needed to be part of what we do.

I’ve seen how many incredible dogs can find themselves in shelters because of unfortunate circumstances, often through no fault of their own. I’ve also seen the difference rescues can make by stepping in to provide medical care, foster homes, rehabilitation, advocacy, and simply more time for a dog to find the right home. Supporting that work is incredibly important to me, and something I always want to remain part of Snout & Scone.

From the beginning, I committed to donating 10% of our net profits each quarter to local rescues and organizations supporting animals in need. Making this first quarterly donation is something I’ve been looking forward to the most since the beginning. We’re still a very small and very new business and it might stay that way, but being able to give something back, no matter the amount, means so much to me.

Every cake, dog friendly cake, market visit, share, recommendation, and order has helped make this possible. I’ll be sharing our first donation to my story so you can see exactly where your support is going. Thank you for supporting Snout & Scone and helping this small business give back. 🫶🏽

Meet Puggle 🤎

A couple weeks ago, this 14-year-old little guy went on a field trip to an event at Snooze. The field trip turned into a fling, and the fling turned into a full-time foster!

With a surgery coming up and some aftercare ahead of him, Puggle gets to recover in a cozy home while he waits for his forever family. He is such a sweet, easy companion. He’s great on leash, loves his walks, sunbathing, naps, being right next to you, and treats, of course. He loves his foster siblings and they love him right back, and he’s FAST for a little man! He’s even gotten to dip his toes in a pool with very careful supervision. He’s had lots of fun so far while maintaining the most serious little face, and that snaggletooth just makes him even more adorable. 🥹 He really is such a wonderful little companion.
