Mrs. Backers Pastry Shop Mrs. Backers is a Family run Bakery that has been in the family for more than 80 Years! Backers Pastry Shop was opened in 1941 by Martin Backer.

His Son and Daughter-in-law currently run the Show along with two of their children. The Backers come from a long line of Bakers that came to Salt Lake City in 1926. We want to make the same high quality beautiful desserts that we learned from our fathers. We make everything from Danish to Cookies, Cakes to Éclairs and we love that this brings us to your home and your big life events. It's an honor to be trusted by each of our customers!

The time is almost here! Our annual July break starts this Saturday July 4th!
We’re open this week until Friday! We’ve got sugar cookies and cupcakes that are frosted in white with blue and red sprinkles to celebrate the holiday!
Come by and stock up on your backers treats!
We’ll be closed from July 4th-July 27th! Opening 8:00AM Tuesday July 28th.

Happy weekend!
South Temple street will be CLOSED until 10:30AM this morning due to the marathon.
Because of this, we will open LATE today at 10:00AM.
