The glamorous side of being a small home baker: pretty cakes, sprinkles, buttercream swirls, and cute packaging. ✨

The OTHER side? Sitting at the kitchen table taking apart your KitchenAid mixer like you suddenly earned an engineering degree overnight, and I'll admit longer than the video said it should take. 😂🔧

Ever wonder what the inside of your mixer looks like? Well… now I know WAY more than I ever planned to. Do I always know what I’m doing? Absolutely not. But growing up learning how to fix things yourself combined with the magical university of YouTube has gotten me pretty far so far. 💀

Because when your mixer is basically your bakery employee, you learn real quick how important maintenance is. Small business ownership means wearing ALL the hats:

It’s about honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so we could live in freedom. The freedoms we often take for granted came at a cost paid by heroes and the families who loved them.

May we never forget those who gave everything for this country. ❤️🤍💙

Half chocolate, half funfetti, swirled, rosed, and piped with all the pretty purple details to help celebrate a special graduate in style. 💜🎓

There’s just something about buttercream swirls and graduation celebrations that makes my baker heart happy. Congratulations to the graduate and thank you for letting me be a small part of your big day!

Some weekends I absolutely nail the pictures… and then there’s weekends like this one where I blink and EVERYTHING is gone 😂

Kitchen looking like a buttercream tornado touched down ✔️

This weekend’s grand total:
🧁 420 cupcakes
🍭 120 cake pops
🧁 48 mini cupcakes
🍪 42 decorated sugar cookies
🎂 2 sheet cakes
🎂 1 nine-inch cake
💍 1 tiered wedding cake

And somehow I managed to get approximately ZERO pictures of any of it 😅

But let me tell ya… loading all of that into the Equinox had me out there playing advanced level Bakery Tetris. One wrong turn and somebody’s graduation cupcake tower was gonna become a pull-apart cake real fast 😂

Now the mess is just gonna have to wait… because it’s time to clock in for my OTHER full-time job 😵‍💫☕ Night shift bakery gremlin mode activated.

Officially entering her ✨golden teenager era✨ with a cake as extra and chaotic as she requested 😂🦝💛

This sweet birthday girlie loves trash pandas aka raccoons, so naturally we had to bring the tiny masked chaos gremlins to life in buttercream form! Paired with a funfetti angel food cake and minimal icing because apparently some people enjoy “self control” and not a pound of buttercream 😅

Light, fluffy, sprinkle-filled, and topped with raccoons living their best snack-stealing life. Honestly… relatable. 😂

Hope your 13th birthday was filled with cake, laughter, sugar, and just the right amount of raccoon-level chaos 💛🦝✨
