This Thursday & Friday we’re excited to feature locally made baked goods from Stone Hearth Farm & Garden. This delicious sourdough is crafted with care by farmers Caitlyn & John Wiederhoeft.

Their farming philosophy is rooted in sustainability, regenerative practices, and leaving the land better for future generations. From the soil they grow in to the pollinators they protect, their products reflect a deep care for the environment and community.

Come support local while sticking up on fresh sourdough, granola, and cardamom buns (while supplies last). Taste the difference thoughtful farming makes.

Today, we celebrate the birthday of a real River Rock classic, Katie Aho. 🤍

There’s something inspiring about the way Katie moves through the world, meeting every challenge with calm clarity and a “we’ll figure it out” kind of confidence that somehow always proves true. She has this gift for seeing people, really seeing them, and making them feel cared for in a way that lingers long after they leave. Whether she’s hosting like it’s her own home, guiding our team with grace and wit, or quietly holding everything together behind the scenes… Katie is a huge part of what makes River Rock feel the way it does.

If you’ve ever felt that warmth, that ease, that sense of being taken care of here, there’s a good chance Katie had something to do with it.

With deep care and consideration, we are choosing to support our immigrant community by staying open during this record cold snap. We believe warmth, safety, and access to community matter - especially right now. Our space will continue to be a safe landing spot for immigrants and neighbors alike. River Rock is a place to warm up, gather, have tough conversations, and feel less alone.

On Friday, we will be hosting an educational outreach at both of our locations. Volunteers from Indivisible will be on-site sharing No-ICE bingo cards, informational resources, whistles, and answering questions for those who wish to learn more.

We hold this choice with respect for the many ways people are showing solidarity. For us, remaining open, warm, welcoming, and informed is the best way to serve. May this place be a reminder that our community is still strong, still warm, and still here.

Due to winter weather warnings, we will be opening late this Friday and Saturday at both cafes.
