sac is an incredible bakery town, and tomorrow we get the absolute honor of hosting one of its brightest. nhung of ĐÂY LÀ FLOUR

nhung's bakery pop up brings a fearless and insanely yummy Vietnamese-America baking perspective. our current fav.

menu: variety of wild-yeasted treats baked out of South Land Park.

ok, let's dream about out of this world cookies and sourdough croissants.

faria was once a lil bakery pop up!

eight years ago, faria wasn't quite so many steps.

it was a pop up from my house. with that green mixer (yes the one in the bakery!)
.. and grace.

grace was my first baker. every friday, we started baking at 7:00 am on friday and didn't stop until 7:00 am on saturday. 24 straight hours of baking, fueled by nothing but love of the game.

at sunrise, we’d pack the entire operation into a u-haul, hit the farmers market, and sling bread until the crates were empty. truly a slamdunk.

today, grace runs her own incredible operation up in truckee—blackwall bakery. if you look inside her own bakery, you’ll see our original dough sheeter, our old fridges, and the gear that built faria.

seeing that equipment still humming up in the pines under her hands is everythinggg. like guysss
