day in my life as a sourdough & many other baked goods micro bakery owner ✨

this is what I made this week ⬇️
48 loaves of sourdough bread
50 cookies
3 blueberry pound cakes (these get purchased in slices)
20 brownies
10 hello dolly bars
70 cinnamon rolls
10 oat cinnamon bars
12 pumpkin streusel muffins

running a micro bakery all by myself isn’t easy. Thursday & Friday I’m on my feet for 13+ hours prepping and baking. Saturdays I’m up at 5:30am to get my bakery trailer ready/load the car & sell from 8-12pm.

I’m very thankful for this life, but it is HARD work.

For me? I wanted to better my life and work for myself. I’m a retired actress who left the industry and now sells bread on the side of the road!! 😅

i don’t think you knew that this closet in my guest room/now bakery room was filled with personal items that didn’t have anything to do with “bakery life” 🤭 I’m finally able to take everything out and use it to organize more of my bakery equipment…wahoo 🙏🏼✨

pls ignore the amount of time I said I was sweating 😅 and sorry I ended the video abruptly. Clearly I was over it because this took me 3 hours 🤣

some days are harder than others in my sourdough micro bakery. every day is a great day but not every day is easy.

I think people see micro bakery owners online and romanticize what it looks like to run a bakery. And while most of the time I’m excited to bake and try new things, some days aren’t easy. Some days I’m not motivated. Some days my body is really exhausted from the constant moving parts of my business.

I’m sharing this with you because I think it’s important to show up and share every side of this business. The good days. The bad days. The hard days. And the tiring days.

I love what I do so so much & am forever grateful I get to call this my job. But it’s also ok to say it’s hard. It’s ok to not want to bake some days. And it’s ok to share it with you.
