☀️ Hey Sunshines, we wanted to give everyone a quick heads-up...
❗️Effective immediately, we will be pausing all plant and produce sales until further notice.
The city zoning department recently informed us that our current zoning does not allow sales of non-commercial produce and plants. While we work with the city to better understand the regulations and explore any permits/alternative options, we are complying with their direction and suspending those sales until further notice.
🍪 The good news is that this does NOT affect our cottage food operation. Sunshine's will remain open and stocked on weekends with baked goods and home essentials, so you won't have to miss out on your favorite treats!
We understand that the zoning department is simply enforcing the code and we truly appreciate the professionalism and kindness shown during this process. While this is definitely disappointing for our family, we respect the importance of zoning regulations and look forward to working cooperatively with the city to find a path forward.
👨👩👧👧 For those who may be new here, Sunshine's started as a way for our family to share homemade baked goods and homegrown products with our community, while allowing me to stay home and raise our two little girls. Gardening, baking, and making homemade products from scratch have always been a part of our family's way of life. What began as sharing with friends, neighbors, and family has grown into something we're incredibly proud to share with our community!

We genuinely believed we were operating within the rules and now that we've learned otherwise, we will be working diligently to better understand the requirements and seek any options that may allow us to offer produce and plants again in the future.
